I have not done it, but I think it would flex to much when you turn up the bass.

One, i dont think the tank would have the structual integrity required to handle the bass; and two, you might have problems with running the magnet so close to the metal on the tank.

I think it would look cool, but I wouldnt build it with the tank.
I would build a wood box then section the tank so it would just be a false front cover to hide the wood and make it look like a tank. then just cut out the holes and mount some speakers.

I would move the tank under the bed and put the enclosure behind the seat. Even if you were able to do it, the tank would probably hold very little gas after that. Most of the tank would be taken up by speakers. You would never be able to pass a gas station. But I guess on the bright side, it would be cheap to fill 'er up.
