Re: woodgrain on the cheep

Way many years ago I worked at a Coca-Cola plant in the refurb shop. Machines back then had wood grain on their front panels. I found the wood grain matched the wood grain used in pickup cabs and in side moldings. I cannot remember where we got it though.

Re: woodgrain on the cheep

this stuff that I found is a close match to wooddgrain on lower moulding. Anyone know how this was applied originally on these pieces

Re: woodgrain on the cheep

Good job!
The interior pieces were originally photoetched to the aluminum, except the dash bezel. The exterior pieces were done like you did your pieces. This is the best known way a hobbyist can do the interior. I have done them like this too.

Re: woodgrain on the cheep

how did you do a fantastic job around lock on glovebox door. the material I used is kinda thick so you have to be careful about applying too much heat or it will wrinkle. did you use bezel that already had woodgrain on it.thanks for the encouragement as we all know how pricey the repros are for door panels and has anyone used these yet
