TH400/t221 combo ever???

I am looking to build a swampbuggy this summer and want to make it light and bulletproof. The rockwell 221 weighs about half of a 205 and is still a geardrive. I could go with a 350 turbo but the 400's are the best auto trani ever built. I cant think of a combo that would have come with this in 68 or 69. thanks

I have never heard of or seen a Rockwell behind any auto tranny, it seemed to be on the way out when the auto tranny in 4x4 GM trucks was on its way in. And when they did use autos in 4x4's, they were all th350's.
