AC from GMC Paul
Hello,
Need to pull the trigger this week and purchase an aftermarket air conditioner for my 1970 C20. Was wondering if anybody has any experience with units available from GMC Paul's. Serge |

Re: AC from GMC Paul
Might get a better response if you stated which system GMC Paul offers.

Was looking at unit that is hidden in dash, and uses existing vents and controls.
Its part #1159521. |

Re: AC from GMC Paul
I checked his catalog on-line and it states that he only carries Old Air Products.

Re: AC from GMC Paul
I don't have first hand experience with either vintage air or old air---but, Im getting ready to re install a unit in my build. I have talked to techs at both companies and I believe vintage is possibly the better system. With that said---Im re installing my old "old air"system. Im convinced that for my application the "old air" system will do everything I need.
Both systems are very close to the same price------If I were you, Id call both companies, ask specific questions to see which unit will be best for you. Then go back to your supplier of choice for the purchase. I do know first hand that the customer service people at "old air" are easy to work with and very helpful. Good luck,,

Re: AC from GMC Paul
Hutch,
You are correct, Old Air is the manufacturer. That helps thank you. With electronic controls added to Old Air the cost is same as Vintage. HMMMM! Vintage or Old Air? Thanks again folks. |
