Suspension upgrades?

I have a 1969 GMC c1500 and it has 6 lug wheels and a rear leaf spring suspension. I want to lower the truck enough to make it level all the way around and i dont know weather to swap it to rear coil spring suspension and buy a complete kit for the suspension or to do the lowering leaf springs and shackles on the rear. Any thoughts on what to do. I am going to put disc brakes on the front and possibly convert it to 5 lug so i can put cragar wheels on it. Does anyone have pictures of cragars on there trucks.
Thanks Tony
