You have to get proper back space wheels. You can use spacers but not my preferred method unless they are the billet bolt on kind.

I have 20x10's on rear (a 10" rim is actually 11" wide) with a 275-45 on it. I have about 7/8" gap on the inside fender well and about 1/4" gap on outside. The outside fender lip can be trimmed down quite a bit as well. for more room. My wheel comes out to have about a 4.25" BS. I am dropped all the way to where the differential is about an 1/8" from hitting the bed when aired out and I have no clearance issues.

I'll have to messure my wheel, and the gaps to verify but I think you and I have the same size wheels. And if you have the same size wheels as I do and don't have any issues then I shouldn't have any either. I don't plan on getting the truck crazy enough to were the frame should flex that much. This is all new territory to me. I used to building motorcycles, ATV's and snowmobiles. I have gotten burned a lot on this build to were I am over cautious and don't want to over look anything.

I think that you will find that our backspace is completely different. You can't even find an off the shelf 10" wheel with a backspace between 4-4.5" without going to a billet wheel and doing a custom BS.

It's not easy to tell in my pics, but you can see my wheel is a lot closer to the outer fender lip than your wheel is. What the PO of my truck did was get a wheel with a 5.5" BS and then add a 1.25" billet spacer/adapter to it which effectively gives it a 4.25" BS. One of the reasons I'm switching wheels is because I don't like spacers, and I like the look of a deeper dish wheel better, which this setup I have is taking away. When I do get new wheels, will get either a 4.25" BS or a 4.5" BS.

Take your wheel off, and lay it front side down, put a straight edge over the back side of your rim, measure from bottom of straight edge to your rim wheel mating surface and that's your BS. There is some nice diagrams if you google it.

I'm running an Extang Blackmax that I got from Summit.
Looking back I probably should have gotten a full tilt just to make things easier, but I hardly use the bed on my truck so it works out well in the end.

Not mine. These are on a truck that Delmo built with his special 20's wrapped with 37X12.50R20 Mickey Thompson's. I sure would like to see more pics of this truck.
