drip rail screw size

anyone know what the screw size is for the drip rail above the door?

They vary by year.

I think most of the early ones were a #8 screw with a 1/4" hex head. I've seen a few with phillips heads but I don't know if those were original or not.

Sometime in the later 70's they changed to metric screws ... I think those are M4.2 with a 7mm hex head.

Early ones 73 to maybe 75 Phillips. After that hex. The Phillips was a dealer add on I think

I don't remember what size they are, but I had kind of a hard time finding them when I put my truck back together. It seemed like every screw I found that was short enough to work was too small in diameter for the holes. Finally, I found some in stainless that fit perfectly at a local hardware store.
