I found a cab to replace my rusty 67 cab with. The new cab has almost no rust which is good, but I wonder how rare it is.. It is a 67 small window cab with A/C. Truck had P/S but no power brakes. I feel like I lucked out finding this one because the interior is all factory original can clean as a pin The seat is not torn and the electrical has never been touched. Still has original floor mat and radio..
Anyone have any clue how many 67s were built with P/S A/C? Were power brakes an option in 67?? I would have thought the truck would have had the big back window with all the other options installed..

Im dont know for sure how rare production wise, but no rust, clean unmolesed interior is a home run. =rare.

Ok here you go with what I know about 1967's...

The small window Cab is 1967 only and was only produce the 1st half of the model year to be replaced with the big window... As far as being a A/C cab does in fact make is a fairly rare pickup due to the time frame the guys buying these trucks were buying trucks not cars so their mind set was more of a utilitarian situation rather than a comfort setup... the power steering was more common than the A/C and power brakes were usually ordered when the Power Steering option was ordered... Typically you didn't find a A/C truck without Power Steering or Power Brakes... Most of these options were also only ordered when the "Custom" trim level was ordered...

I believe they stopped manufacturing the small Window Cab along late March of 1967 but I could be mistaken on that...

The fact that you are in Oklahoma and found essentially a Rust free Cab is VERY rare... I know their was a rust free 67 Cab being offered out of Nebraska here a while back for appx. 1000.00...

There are no figures on options, so we can only go by what we see. '67 was the last year a smaller back window was standard. Since the Deluxe Cabs came out in the Advance Design series the larger back glass has been an option in itself. Most would opt for the larger glass, so more of those than w/o. Power steering/brakes and automatic transmissions were still seen as weak car features to many truck buyers. So it's not uncommon to see well optioned trucks that don't have these features...or all of them. There were plenty of trucks with a/c, but I would say in '67 it was less common than as the years progressed. Basically, you have a small window a/c cab. The rest is unrelated. It's unusual to see a CST or Super Custom with small back window, more so than w/o a/c. It's not exactly a rare cab, more like a harder to find cab

If its a cab in good condition not attached to a truck, that's rare enough. But I think they built something in the neighborhood of a million trucks a year, so there's not much that's rare -and- desirable except in combination.

Rare != valuable. Sometimes it's cool though.

You see a lot of things at Barrett Jackson like "one of only three beige four-speed post cars with a brown interior and cruise control". So? The NFL has stats for everything too... first rookie to score three touchdowns with a name ending in Q. So?

But I'd grab it and you'd have an uncommon cab in great condition. No brainer!

Thanks for all the input. I scored the whole truck to use as a donor for a 67 short wide project I am working on. It does need outer rockers but that is it.. The rest is very clean. The cab was 500 so I was hesitant until he threw in the rest of the truck for a couple hundred more. Should make a nice truck.

I would check your Cab Corners real well... if it needs outer Rockers it is a Probability that the Cab corners have at least some hidden pinholes...

Hey 69SWB4X4, It's good to see another local board member. I haven't ran into too many from this immediate area. I'm about 20 min from you just across the line in KS. I love short wide 4x4s and your orange 69 looks great in your avatar pic. To me, any 67-72 cab in this area that isn't rotted is rare. Sounds like you got a nice deal to me.

My Vacation home is just about 20 miles south of Miami (just north of Grove on Grand Lake) which would make me about 35 miles from you...

I'd say you got a good deal on that cab. I picked up a 71 cab for 500 delivered but it didn't need any rust repair at all. Nice score and looking forward to seeing progress!

Sorry no pictures of it but my first truck was a 67 LWB with factory AC little window 3 speed on the column with over drive and a bench seat. Rubber floor mat.
It caught fire and burnt to the ground. I had no insurance on it so I lost it. I sold the motor & transmission and bed off of it. I almost made my money back that I payed for it, almost!

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
