I looked at photos of several of that style of starter and there doesn't seem to be a real continuity between the different brands as far as the clocking of the solenoid.
My question has always been that unless he is facing a tight space situation or has compression high enough to need the gear reduction why would a person want one of the little aftermarket ones at their cost when a regular heavy Delco starter is a proven entity that gives very little trouble.
