What are these seats? 3 buckets on a tube framework

Can you ID these? There's a metal storage box under the center seat.

They look like utility buckets with some other kind of console but not from a chevy/gmc....Just my thought!

I have seen them ( or ones that are very very similar) installed in 67/68's. There was a special metal bracket that was installed on the sheetmetal just above the gas tank. The bracket served as a stop when the middle seat was in the upright position. A few years ago I found a set of these in a truck at the local pick-n-pull. I wanted them but I was driving a Stingray then. I came back for them the next morning but someone else already got them. They weren't very fancy but I think they were an option in 67/68. I would love to have a set of them for my truck. I still have two complete hydes of tan leather left over from my son's truck. It would look great on those. I have seen them sell on ebay for a pretty good amount. Last set I saw went for around $300 < EDIT> The only thing that throws me off a little is the courtesy light located under the flip up/ center console seat. Possibly from a 67/68 Sububurban? Do you happen to know what they were pulled from? Do the seatbacks fold forward or are they in a solid fixed upright position?

Those look like a set that were in a Dodge truck at work. I think it was early 80 style truck.

That low center piece is an ashtray, not a light. The seats are very similar to the GM CST seats, but they are out of an International PU. They are a lot heavier and a little more plush than our CST seats. Both seats adjust, where only the drivers on ours moved. Now tell me this...how did you get to the ashtray on the back of the seat in a PU?

I had the same mount and center section in my 68. I never removed the center seat to see if the ash tray was there... but I had the same frame and someone put car buckets on it.

I bet that seat was also used in a Scout or Travellall ? Just a guess. You mentioned that both of the seats are adjustable. Are the seat backs in a fixed upright position or are you able to fold them forward ? They fooled me, they look almost identical to 67/68 CST seats. They will look awesome with new upholstery.

If anyone has a 67-72 factory assembly manual (which you can get from some of the venders on this board), those seats look exactly like the utility bucket seats, full tube frame, storage box and all.

Bostrum seat company in Berlin Wis made the seats for GM, Dodge,IHC and Jeep along with a bunch of stepvans. They are all very simular in style with minor changes to fit the different companies needs. In the late 60's to early 70's I hauled steel into their factory out of Gary Ind and remember them sitting on the shipping dock in big palletized boxes with labels like GM-FLT ( gm Flint ) JP-TOL ( jeep Toledo ) DG-HM ( dodge hamtramic ) GR-LA ( gruman los angeles ) They also made air seats for Kenworth,Peterbilt etc.

Dodge

...and here is a set of those Dodge seats. They also came on a tube frame, but I have them sitting on different mounts to fit our trucks.

PICKMUP, are those 'Dodge' seats sitting higher because of the mods to get them to fit or are the seat backs actually taller? My CST buckets (on the stock GM style frame) are flush w/the bottom of the back glass.... those in your pic look to be about 2-3" taller.

For sale?

I would probably sell this set for $150. They are in solid condition. If they were true CST seats they would be $300-400.
