"Big Dooley" special 2 tone pint

Hey everyone, first off just gotta say this sight has been the biggest help to me over the last year with restoring my 84 C30, but i cannot seem to find this answer anywhere.
I am in line to get my 1984 C30 silverado (camper special) resprayed. I went through the GM heritage sight and managed to get a copy of my trucks dealer invoice listing all the options and one of them was the Big Dooley special 2 tone paint option. If anyone has a pic of this or knows where i can get one i would be grateful. Apologize for the long post.

Did the factory really call it "Big Dooley"? I would think the factory would know how to spell dually.

We have a member here, Keith Seymore, who was deeply involved in truck manufacturing at GM at that time. He told a real neat story awhile back about the first "Dooley" and how it came to be named that. He's the guy to answer this question.

Hell, he's the guy to answer most near all of the questions in the 73-87 section.

Here is an old pic of my 82 chevy 1 ton. It has the big dooley paint shown on the invoice.

I'm surprised how expensive that paint option was... $364....despite the truck already having Silverado-level trim!

Thanks for posting that invoice (never seen one in that format before).

You are too kind.

It just means I have forgotten more than anybody else.

There was a GM Truck executive at the time by the name of Peter Dooley.

Whether or not that influenced the naming of the truck would be speculation on my part.

Besides: Marketing. They do WTH they want, anyway.
