Anyone use Zero Rust - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey All,

I have used POR-15 so far for my Rust Proofing, but have looked at Zero Rust due to it being so much cheaper, more colors, and less prep work.

I would like to know if anyone here has used it and how they like it. Easy of use, Long term how did it last.....just anything worth saying about it Good OR Bad.

I've heard that rust bullet is good too.
Don't know much about Zero Rust though.
I know that I learned NOT to get POR15 on your skin.

I used zero rust on the interior of my 48 before I painted the car. It lays out nice and is semi-gloss.

I used a 4" wide roller and it flashed out nicely, you couldnt tell it was applied with a roller, not that it mattered, its under the upholstery.

I haven't used the Zero rust but have read a lot of info about it. So far I haven't heard anyone say anything negitive about it. It does have a few advantages over POR from what I've read. Cost, no ISOs, and can be applied over painted areas. I've also noticed that some people use it in combination with Picklex 20 when going over bare metal. The Picklex, Zero Rust sounds like a good combination especially if you don't have the proper safety equipment for ISO protection. The only down side is that most say it's more prone to chipping than the POR products. If Rust Bullet is for real it sounds like some good stuff.

i have used rust pullet and like the easy application. only been on a few months so can not really say how it works, but will keep using it. buy on ebay and save a few bucks.

I'm not sure how your saving money on ebay with it as I'm the only one selling it on ebay and it's the same price on ebay as it is on our website

well i'm not sure but i went to the web site and ebay. it was only a dollar or two but it was cheaper. it may have been in the shipping. this was in sept. or oct. i may have been wrong but thought i saved a dollar. now you have ruined my penny pinching ways.
