71' rear coils
just orders some rear drop coils for my 71 c10. Question is how hard are these to install? Any tips or tricks?

Re: 71' rear coils
Very easy. I ordered new cups and bolts when I did mine. I cut the springs and old bolts off so I didn't have to mess around with them. First I put a big jack stand on the frame rail under the cab and then jacked up the rear diff and put a small stand under it. Then I put the jack under the trailing arm to support it. Then I cut off the old u bolt. Cut the spring and bolts to remove the spring retainer cups. Install is reverse of removal. Repeat for other side.

I ordered the new cups and bolts as well. What is the point of cutting off the u bolt? The truck currently has 2" blocks as well.

Re: 71' rear coils
When your done, make sure your rear brake lines and stuff aren't rubbing on anything. Mine was hitting my exhaust and I just had to bend the line out of the way.
