New Guy Story.. Jay Leno please adopt me

I guess I will start by saying this site is awesome. If my eyes would allow it I would be on here all day. I grew up playing with Hot Wheels. At the age of 15, (now 46 ) my older sister had a boyfriend with a '68 C-10 and I became hooked. I finally was able to buy and found one in '96 at age 28. It is a '68 custom LWB fleetside and we are both the same age. 307ci,Powerglide,54,360 miles w/o any cancer! It now sits with 98,000 miles. I bought it for $5,300 from the son(who was around 65yrs.) of original owner. They had always kept it in garage and used it to haul firewood. After 1yr. I replaced Powerglide trans. with a TH350 and later put in a 350 engine and tilt steer column from a '72 parts truck.(still have original engine and trans.) I drove it daily until mid '99 when I decided to do a frame off restoration and update all suspension,..etc. etc. So I get it to a rolling chassis w/cab still on and then TRAGEDY strikes. This is why I wish Jay Leno or Warren Buffet would adopt me....In July '02 I had an accident at work ( fell 12' onto concrete striking the side of my head) that disabled me(muscle spasms, muscle weakness/pain,neck pain, and migraines 3-5 times p/week) So now all I can do is sit on a bucket in the cab and pretend to drive it sometimes. Thankfully I have a garage for it where it has been stored for almost 15 yrs. I am not married,no kids and $1,018 per month only pays bills and buys food. I will NEVER sell it and just keep hoping I might win a lottery someday.

That pic. is under the cab. It is some homemade undercoat made by thinning roofing tar with kerosene. Even before that it was in real good shape. I was lucky to find one w,only 54k miles that had been kept in a garage.

It is now an OEM rolling chassis with a 90% gutted cab. The PO put on some cheap moldings after a new cheap paint job.
