Thumbs up 84 GMC Stepside [Pics]

Someone named "JA" from Hawaii sent these pics to me. He didn't provide any info except that it is a 1984 GMC. I emailed him back and told him to come to this site and join up...

Im not a big fan of the smoked head light covers, other than that it looks like a nice clean stepper.

That's a very nice truck. Love the steppers.

I'd take a picture of my truck at the dump right now as long as it was warm! Getting tired of the negative numbers on the thermometer!

I got more info from the owner of this Stepside. His name's Dan from Hawaii...

Quote:
My truck is a '84 GMC Sierra, which was originally equipped with a 4.1 V-6 and a th 350 trans. The motor was swapped out for a 350 with a mild cam edelbrock 600 cfm carb atop a EPS manifold and hedman headers with Flowmasters exiting the exhaust.

For the stance up front are 1" Belltech springs with 1 coil cut off, which brought it down another 1 1/2" ,in back Belltech shackles and hangers for a 4" drop. Wheels are very old school 15 x8 Centerline Hammers with 245r60's in front and 275r60's out back.

When I bought my truck 3 years ago, it was pretty much a stocker, meaning no carpet, bench seat, AM radio, etc.. Today, theres a Kenwood CD head unit Nak amp, infinity Kappa coaxials, and a 10" RF HE sub in a center console. White face gauges w/ an aluminum gauge bezel (which i carved from a piece of billet),a Vintage Air A/C unit and Z/28 buckets keep me pretty comfortable.

Everything was made at home and done at home , my truck has never seen a shop of any sort. oh, and my bed wood was replaced with oak and maple with koa accent strips. Also, the grill insert was homemade,as was the stainless taillights.

I'm an independent flooring contractor and my truck is used every day. Yes, it's a daily driver, it's not perfect but I love it.

So is he comming over here?

And are you shure it wasn't a 4.3 and not a 4.1? I've never heard of a Chevy V6 4.1L.

I emailed him back and asked for some interior pics. I did ask him again to check out this site, and included a link to this thread. I don't know about the 4.1, could have been a typo. I just copied and pasted his email.
