Redoing seals on the 75 Top
I have all new seals for the 75 top. two questions.
1. Is there any reason i need to wait until I have the truck back in order to fit and glue them in place? does the cab need to be fitted to ensure the glue sets with the seals in the right position? 2. OF the two header seals that go across the top of the windshield is one attached to the body and one attached to the cab? The parts are "Header seal on body" and "Header seal on cab" so I am assuming this but want to be certain. |

It'd be good to get some input from a paint and body guy. Offhand I'd say wait until you get the truck back so you can trial fit them before you glue them into place. But you may also need to give the paint some time to harden before you put the top on for the first time.
Where did you get your seals? Be careful, there is some junk out there. I bought a new tailgate glass outer seal from LMC, it looked like it was as old as the truck in a year. There's a vendor here that sells better stuff but I don't recall who at the moment. |

The vendor I was trying to remember is Precision Parts. I'd send him a PM and see if he has those.

Re: Redoing seals on the 75 Top
Interestingly enough i checked my stuff in the garage - and those seals were about the only parts which did NOT come from LMC - they came from Classic parts of america. They look solid and decent quality flexible rubber so I'll go ahead with them anyway. I'll check out precision parts though for other stuff. Thank you.

Can you take some pictures of the process you go through in replacing your seals? Are you replacing the trim around the side glass also? I just received new front door seals (for the top) and would like to see your process if you go through this before I do. I do not yet have new bottom or rear wether seals but will eventually.
