1999 ccsb 2500

I have a 99 ccsb old body 2500

need some ideas the gas gauge has began to go full sweep when turn on the key and then has tremors the rest of the time.

check the ground at the fuel pump sending unit. there is usually 2 grounds. 1 for the pump the other for the gauge. if one is bad it will usually affect the other.

Could also be a bad fuel sending unit.
