Down Da Bayou Louisiana

How its going everybody. My name is Nick, I'm new to the site but been wrenching for years. Here are a few pics of the truck im working on now. I've had it for about a year now and its a work in progress. Full frame off resto, I pulled the body off and sandblasted and coated the frame then started rebuilding. 1985 Chevy C10 5" rear drop made up of 3" drop leaf springs and 2" drop bracket. The front has 3" drop control arms and supposed to have a 1" drop coil spring but I don't think it dropped it that extra inch like i was looking for. I plan on buying a set of 2" drop spindles to add to the front and bring it down some more. The truck actually sits 2-1/2" lower in the back then the front. I got a 5.3 engine and a muncie 4spd that I put back in it for a drive train.

Kjun,
Welcome to the forum.
Just want to pass on that DJM Suspension advises against combining dropped control arms and lowered spindles. You may want to check their site out before making any purchases. That combo was on my 86 and I changed to just the control arms.
Hope you find this helpful
Good luck with your build

Thanks for the heads up. I called DJM today and asked why you can't run drop spindle with control arm and he couldn't give me an answer on why. So it looks like i'll just be trying a set of 2" drop springs, they're cheaper anyway.

Re: Down Da Bayou Louisiana

Hey guys just and update on the truck, I ordered new 2" drop springs and still wasn't quite happy with the stance so I put the other sptings back in it and cut a full coil out. It finally sits like I want it too.
