Long time member, first time poster
Hey everyone, joined a couple months ago and haven't had time to post. A couple months back I picked up a 1972 GMC from Craigslist . I always liked these truck since I was a kid and my dad had a 70 stepside when I was little. Now that I have 2 boys of my own we have a project to work on and drive together. Plans are for a low budget build, lowering 2" in front and 3" rear for now, got some 17" rims, put the gas tank out back and going to keep the patina for now. We want a driver and have a amazing truck to start with, came from California and spent its life on a vineyard hauling grapes. Was parked for many years in a garage and is super solid. Long term would love to see a LS under the hood but for now we'll stick with the 307 and save our money for that.

That's one heck of a find for your neck of the woods! How long ago was it brought over from Cali?
Drop, wheels, rub out the paint, drive... good plan!

Re: Long time member, first time poster
That's awesome. I grew up in NY near Buffalo so I know what the rust belt trucks look like... actually, that trucks even quite a bit nicer than most anything original you find in North & South Carolina anymore.
It's a great color that should clean up really nice. I even dig the big mirrors on it. Have fun with it.
