need to remove seats, cannot get to bolts.

Hey everyone,

So my 03 Tahoe z71 has a broken Memory Seat Module causing weird power seat function. I have to part but I cannot get the seat out. The seat will not move far enough back to remove the front seat bolts. Anyone know how I can get the seat back?

Looking at the seat motor there seem seems to be 5 wires. The is a thick red and a thick black wire, and 3 smaller wires (white, blue and red I think) that go to the front of the motor. I imagine the only thing I can do is expose the wire that moves the seat back and power it up?

IIRC, power up the thick red/black, & reverse polarity for front rear operation? Longhorn

Re: need to remove seats, cannot get to bolts.

No need to remove seat as an assembly. The lower seat cushion has two nuts holding the front of it to seat, remove these and lift cushion up and forward. The drivers seat module will be right there.
