Anything worth keeping?

Hey guys! I bought a 1987 Chevy full-size 4 dr. sedan sight unseen from a local alchohol test drinker. Figured the O.D. tranny worth the 100 bucks. Turns out car is an old police car. Got it running,(ignition module was bad), holds good oil pressure and no noise but smokes bad. Car is strange, large bolt pattern wheels, low back buckets with steel backs, full guages, certified speedo,350 instead of 305. Question is, all I wanted was the tranny, and maybe the buckets. What else would be on a police package I should pull before I crush it?

Save the whole rest of the car and sell it. Memphis is 65% black, and they just love the old box chevy 4 doors. Advertise in the auto trader, you should get some offers. The police package also came with the big sway bars, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, etc. Good find for $100.

good call on the sway bars, I was thinking about the engine, but I am really out of dry storage. Might make good trading fodder. The aux. trans cooler looks pretty generic. It may belong on Shuttermutts 67 if we ever get on it. Thanks for the input!
