Headliner Backing

What have you guys used to replace the factory cardboard in a headliner?

Visit a auto upholstery shop. Not sure of the name of the stuff but it is used for custom headliners n custom door panels. Durable stuff light weight. I have a piece stored to make a gas tank cover out of when I get a chance. Believe I paid about $16/$18 for a sheet about 4X6.
