Saginaw power steering pump
I have an 86 truck with the stock gearbox and steering pump , still there as I am upgrading everything with billet pulleys. I have the billet pulley for the pump already, but is bolt on , so I got me a 70 camaro remanufactured pump (bolt on) with the billet bracket as we'll. easy swap.I hate the press on pulley type. My problem is that my 86 stock pump has O rings and I believe metric fitting .How can I replace the lines to fit from my gearbox to the 70 camaro pump? Thanks!

Re: Saginaw power steering pump
I believe that you can purchase an adapter that screws into your pump.
Try your local parts store first. I have never bought one so maybe someone who has will chime in. |

Re: Saginaw power steering pump
You can simply unscrew the outlet fitting from your 86 pump and transfer it over to the 70 pump. Then you'll be able to use stock 86 O-ring hoses.
Just be careful when you unscrew the fitting ... there is a pressure control valve and spring in there. |
