Heater fan doesn't work at all

Hello, I have never had to come up to 88-98 forum but I do need some assistance. My son's 1996 Gmc k1500 with air has a problem with no power to the heater motor. He has already replaced the resistor and has swapped out the "one" heater relay by the fan motor with no results. He has one wire that has power to the relay and checking at the fan switch he has power to several of the connections there. Is there another relay for the heater motor?

It's getting kinda cold here on Montana.I would appreciate any thoughts.

Kent.

Check the power link behind the glove box. I had a melted connector on my 95. Thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=582888

I also have factory schematics posted here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/99167717@N06/

I think I'd make a junkyard run and swap control units.

Re: Heater fan doesn't work at all

My son just called and he found one melted wire coming from the fan switch and after bending the wire around the fan worked so he is going to replace that end.

Thanks everyone for your help,

Kent.
