Rear license plate bracket
For those with a stocks tailgate and rear bumper, does the front license plate bracket fit the back. I'm looking at pictures online and I don't see people using the big rear bracket with built in lamp .

The front license bracket will not work well in the rear. I use the stock rear setup on my '55

Well, fwiw when it came time to install a rear plate and bracket on my truck I had to get creative. I had no stock bracket but I did have a pile of brackets that came in brand new with 94-ish Chevy trucks. I bolted the plate to the box, and the bracket to the bottom of the plate with the lamp facing up. It looks vintage and stock. Only catch is that it grounds through the plate. Not a big deal, just need to ensure there's a good path for current.
