Is it an inline 6, a V-6, a small block or a big block?

look just above the timing chain cover on pass side there will be a flat horizontal machined pad, clena it off real good and get all the numbers off it and post them here, that will be a good start, go to www.nastyz28.com to look up the suffix stamping code part of the code
ex of a suffix code is T0513TRY TRY is the suffix code to look up at the site and T is the foundry plant where the block was born and 0513 is the month and day ie may 13 ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com -71/C-10(thx teeitup and crews!)350 4+4/CH465(thx 71Chev, GMCPaul, and CPNE)longfleet bed(thnx meathead95)!very apart and not driveable still..... -'84 Z28 H.O. 305 L69 700R4 GT4 3.73 - 1984 Firebird SE 2.8L T-5 GT4 3.73 -1981 Cutlass Supreme, dunno what im gonna do with it yet... -79 G20 pass van, 350/th350/10bolt *Paint is overrated © RSS Enterprises 2000 |

Also look for the casting numbers found behind the driver side head. This will tell you if you have a 327, 350 or whatever.
