Question on wheels and tires
I'm doing a frame off resto-mod on a 1982 GMC, SWB, FLEETSIDE. Lowering on a 2/4 retaining the 15" rims in front and have a pair of 15x10 for the rear. Can I use 245x60r15 in front and 295x50r15 on the rear without rubbing issues?
I'm sure this question has been asked and answered at k east once, but I am unable to locate. Thanks for any advise. |

Re: Question on wheels and tires
You should be fine with that setup. Front tire may even seem too small with only a 2 inch drop.

Re: Question on wheels and tires
I ran that same tire combo on my trucks for years, but I had a 3" drop in the front and a 4" drop in the rear. The only thing you have to watch is that the rear side of the rim may rub on the lower A-arm and you would have to shve some metal off of the arm to clear the wheel weights.
