bumper search
I did a thread search, that was no help. So i'll throw this out here hoping to get some help. THe only trucks that I have ever seen this bumper on was 80's stepsides, and even then it was not on all of them. It is a step bumper that stops at the bed stakes. The fleetside length step bumper is VERY common but the narrow step is NOT. I have searched my town and nearby towns for a few years now but can not find one. I would like to get one used, heck I haven't even seen new ones. I am beginning to think I will have to get a "long" unchromed one. Then section it and have it chromed.
Any help or ideas? |

On my 83 step I used an 80s vintage Ford Ranger bumper. I had to drill two new holes for the bolts though.

Here's the best pic I have of it. There weren't digital cameras back then.
The bumper was narrow. It didn't stick out past the bed sides like most stepside bumpers do.

REAR STEP BUMPERS
I think I have seen one a few years back. I was a S10 step bumper on a 78 stepside and I don't think it stuck out much past the bed. Check that angle out.

The bumper you saw may have been cut down and rechromed. I wish they chromed the back sides of the bumpers for the stepsides, as it shows and is never finished.
