por-15
I won't get around to repairing my floor for a couple of years. It has sum surface rust and I would like to prevent it from getting any worse. If I use por-15 to stop it from deteriorating will it make it more diffiecult to repair in the future?

Should not be...I put por-15 on my floor for the same reason and it looks like it would not be a problem to get off if I needed to.

I would think POR-15 would make the repair "easier" down the road since you won't have more rusting going on between now and then- nothing worse than repairing rust. If you stop it now at least you will only have to deal with what has happened so far.
Also I think that POR-15 will not change fixing it later- you will just have to grind or cut out the rust and the POR-15. It will come off with a little grinding, and you may end up wanting to replace the whole floor panels anyway. You are a patient man! A couple years! |
