Too bad you can't take it off and save it. That would be cool if it were laminated.

who in the right mind would have kept that on when they bought it, unless in 1985 they knew it would stir up some intrest 20 years later. Pretty neat though.

My truck had a camper, so I don't think it was ever really noticeable.

I am going to try to scrape it off in one piece and try to scan it.

Anyone want a copy?

I would take the best possible photo of it before you start scraping. Set your camera at its highest resolution and get close enough that the sticker takes up the whole photo to make sure it is easily readable.

That may be the last time you see it intact, once you start scraping.

If it won't scrape out, I would even consider replacing the glass with a junkyard piece, and storing that one in the attic. That is probably a little extreme for most folks, though.

My 83 had the options sticker on the fender still in tact. Gave it to the new owner in a clear plastic sleeve.

Try heating it up with a hair dryer before you start to pull it.

Never.

Just go look at your truck minus the wheels, paint, about 5" lower, cowl hood, add some rust and that's what the 83 used to look like.
