Front brake line different size ?

I got some braded hoses for my big brakes and I notices the front hard lines have different size fittings on them where the adapt to the hoses. My lines fit the passenger side but the driver side is bigger. What is the size on the driver side ? I need to order the correct adapter.

Sounds like some monkey business in your trucks past. The stock hard lines have the same size fittings on both ends and use the same rubber hose left to right.

I would consider buying some reproduction steel lines and doing those as well.

I've done some research and found it to be a factory deal. But no one ever states what size it is.

Well, the left and right front rubber brake lines are the same, so if you can tell me how that works I'd agree.

I haven't had but 3 or 4 of these trucks and have not found that to be the case on any of mine.

I have two of them and both had 1/4" lines going to the front hoses. Now if some one did some work on yours for an upgrade during the close to half a century it has been around no telling what you may have. But like the others have said both sides the same when it was made.

I found the same thing, I bought two new flex lines and one side is 1/4 and the other is 3/16". I just adapted the 1/4 down to 3/16". No idea how it should be the truck has been reworked so many time over it's life.

I wonder if different assembly plants used different parts. I bought a complete 72 front crossmember and it had 3/16 and 1/4 fittings. The replacement hoses I bought at NAPA were the same size. I also have a 71 with the same setup.

Exactly what I thought. I knew mine looked to be factory but I know the possibility of it being changed .

I know 72 has two different sizes.
