Kick Panel & Door Carpet

I have finally been able to get back to work on my 69 for the last few weeks and have a question. I am working on the interior and am planning on new carpet. I am also going to put carpet on the door bottoms and kick panels. I am planning on ordering from stock interiors. They offer the kick panel and door carpet with or without cardboard backing. I am not sure which works better. I appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Re: Kick Panel & Door Carpet

I just cut mine from a carpet remnant and glued it to the bottom of the door. Turned out pretty goo.
So, either way should be fine.

If you want to save some cash, Rock Auto sells carpet from the same company (Auto Custom Carpets-ACC) as Stock Interiors does for a fair amount less. I bought the 80/20 mass backed version and am happy. Be careful when ordering though as there are some assumptions made by ACC about which trucks require high hump carpet. As I recall, they assume all TH400 trucks had high humps.

ACC website is
http://www.accmats.com/

Here's a thread regarding kick panel carpet.
