1991 chevy's hazards not working…

I picked up this 1991 C2500 last week and today just took it to see what it needs for safety. The only thing that needs to be fixed are the hazards, they don't work but the turn signals do. I'm assuming there is a flasher for the hazards, but just incase someone has had this problem before, is there somewhere else I should be looking…

Cycle the switch repeatedly fast, they get dusty and the lube gets hard in switch from being on top of column.

Re: 1991 chevy's hazards not working…

Glad you got it fixed.

The hazards will also stop working if the brake light fuse is blown. I had a trailer light harness short out once and it would pop the brake light fuse if you hit a bump and the trailer harness moved just right. The white wire was grounding out against the trailer hitch where the PO had zip tied it too tightly with no wire loom covering to protect them. Chased my tail on that one for a while.

Not the same problem as you had since your brake lights worked but I figured maybe this might help somebody else out.

Hope you enjoy your truck.
