driveline help please

I have 67 chevy truck. 4 link air bag suspension. cab droped down. the frame sits on the ground. I just got this done and I am having a problem with the carrier bearing. It keeps breaking. I spent the money on a polyurathene one ($119.00). and it only made it half way down the street, before it broke. I need to fix this problem so I can drive to get it painted and the interior done. But this is my main problem. help please I have been working on this truck for so long now. Someone said we could channel out the cab and use a one peice drive line. money dosent matter, just need to find out how to fix this. I know some of you have slammed these truck before and ran into this problem.

It sounds like your truck is lowered quite a bit. If so your driveshaft may be pressing foward on your carrier bearing and breaking it. Take a look at this Slip yoke driveshaft, you might give these guys a call.

either that or you may need to have the shaft shortened, you also should adjust the pinion angle on the rear if you haven't already done so

as cdowns might have been getting at, with the stock suspension the control arms came up to the center bearing. this caused the same piviot point. you said you have a 4 link in your truck so your new piviot point might be different then stock. so when the suspension goes through its motions it pushes the bearing twords the trans or front of the truck. you might want to look into setting up the right piviot point, and i have only heard of people with short beds going to a 1 piece driveshaft. also welcome to the board. i hope this helps
