Can you get a new spid from GM heritage center?

I thought I had read on here that you could submit your VIN and get the codes for what the truck had when built. Sounds like this truck I am going to pick up doesn't have one.

You want the "Vehicle Invoices" tab on the attached link. That will get you the RPO content.

Send that info to site member "chipflyer" and he can make you a new SPID label.

Re: Can you get a new spid from GM heritage center?

rs74 -

I bought the Vehicle Invoice for my 1980 Suburban from the GM Heritage Center last April, and can confidently state it was well worth the money even though I already had the original SPID. What made it worthwhile for me was to see the original option prices and the full dealer invoice price for my rig.

Also, they were VERY prompt to process my order. I emailed the info late in the evening and received the PDF's via email the next day. Not sure if it is always that fast, but it was for me and I greatly appreciated it.

Keith, if you get the chance be sure to relay my appreciation for the work those folks at the Heritage Center do. Makes me glad to buy GM.
