60-62 to a 63-72 suspension?

whats up guys.. im looking to buy a nice 60 apache panel truck and i got a question...i have no experience with the torsion bar setup..my question is this ..can i pull out the crossmember from the 60 and install a crossmember from a 71 including a-arms ,draglink,etc.i want the coil spring setup..any info would be much appreciated..

Yes you can. Although I would use a '73-'87 front suspension. I believe there is a thread all about this written by Markeb01, located in the '60-'66 FAQ section.

That's what I did.
The 73-87 has thicker u bolts and holes to bolt up a sway bar.
You can go up to 92 on the suburbans.
