Lower ball joint problems

So Im trying to replace ball joints on my 89 Silverado 2wd. I got the right lower ball joint installed but on the left side the race bearing won't fit in between to even just fit it. So I have the round spacer on top with the bearing over it, and I have the c clamp on it and I try to put the lower bearing Inbetween the c clamp and the ball joint and it won't go in
