Bolt on exhaust?
Has anyone used a bolt on exhaust? If so are you pleased with it and where did you get it from. is there a brand or certain place that sell kits that fit well on a stock 4x4.

Re: Bolt on exhaust?
Saw these at Summit. Haven't used any and some may be for coil springs. For these prices tho a muffler shop could custom build it for you I would think.

Re: Bolt on exhaust?
Pypes makes a direct bolt on 2 1/2in. system.
Stainless Works makes both a 2 1/2in. and a 3in. direct bolts on systems. |

Re: Bolt on exhaust?
I installed a bolt on kit in my old 77 vette. Install wasn't too bad. Ended up taking it to shop and having them weld it together. Was worth the extra hundred. Too much rattles and leaks without the welds. Plus there are no nuts to come loose with welds. I went with the bolt kit over a fab shop because of the mandrel bends. Couldn't find a shop to do mandrel bends that wasn't stupid expensive.
I say do the bolt on kit only if it is mandrel bends, but have it welded after you get it together. |
