Good deal or no? Slot mag wheels
Is this a good deal for a set of 15" slot mags that are already polished?
$790 with shipping . http://m.ebay.com/itm/291158253648?cmd=VIDESC

Re: Good deal or no? Slot mag wheels
Figuring that you would pay a minimum of 75.00 each to have a set of yard sale wheels polished that might not be that bad of a deal. http://www.keepyourmotorrunnin.com/c...polishing.html
Even buying them here for the going scrap price which is about 30.00 each at the recycle outfit that puts a basic cost of 420 for a set you found and about 20 each for the center caps brings it up to 500 minimum and that doesn't even mean that all four rims would have been good if you bought them out of a local wrecking yard, off craigslist or from a yard sale. That might sound like gibberish but figuring the cost of a used set locally and then the cost of having them polished after you find someone who will polish them right and the caps and it adds up pretty fast. Don't forget though that you have to get 24 lug bolts with washers that are going to add a minimum of 40 bucks to the cost and you can't buy them until you know the exact ID of the bolt holes in the wheels. And never upon never let the tire store dudes use an impact wrench on the lug nuts or they turn to junk real quick. The ones on the Ultra 50's on my 71 3/4 ton are proof of that.
