im wanting to mount my gas tank under the bed and run the filler neck out the back and use a flip down license plate. can anyone tell me what tank to use? pics would be great as well.

I'm assuming your plate is in the bumper? Are you sure you want to do this? How much lower must the tank be to allow a filler that low? And every time you accelerate a charge of fuel will gag the filler pipe? Heaven forbid, but what if you get rear-ended?
Sorry if I sound like an old fart, but this sounds a little dangerous to me.

'69 Camaro has a soldered on filler neck that was behind the license plate. The '67-'68 carts used a hose that went to a filler that was centered in the taillight panel.

Search for "69 camaro gas tank install".

If you look in Tech Tips 67SLIDER installed a 69 Camaro in his truck and has a detailed list of items he used. Very good info.

I used this write up to install a 69 camaro tank in my truck. I may upgrade to a boyd welding tank in the future. With my bags completely aired out and no c notch my tank is about 2" from the ground. Plenty of clearance at ride height.

I probably have less than $250 and a nice Saturday in my setup

69 Camaro tank. I have a couple of the flip down license plates (the ones that STAY DOWN) for sale in the pats forum

69 suburban tanks work as well

69 camaro is the tank you want. Definitely get the latching open plate. I want to say I bought one from a early 90s caprice. There's a cool tutorial on this site that I followed and it went in perfectly. One thing to think about, that no one mentions, as you can see from my avatar, my truck was lowered. I felt like I was on my knees to fill the tank. I decided I wanted a hitch, so I pulled my camaro tank and put in a blazer tank. I have air ride now so in theory you could lift the truck all the way up and fill it.
