Re: 14 bolt question
Actually bought it off Craigslist thinking the same thing there is only two widths and can be cahnged. However through some research I've found the 14 bolt bible online is outdated. I am not sure when but I believe around 1998 they made a 14 bolt that has the spring perches in different locations and the overall width slightly smaller with slide on drums. My axle is definitely not either of the two widths of the older ones. And it is definitely a 14 bolt as the characteristic pumpkin we all know and love. But it's going to workout. I'm going to move the perches and I have a dodge Dana 60 for the front so at 67" wide and the 14 bolt about 65" I should only have about an inch on each side which will be great.

Re: 14 bolt question
Could be a van, or 1 ton truck. But I don't think the 1 tons had slip on drums....
Missed last post, if it's approx. 65" then it's out of a truck, van rear is almost 69" wide.

Re: 14 bolt question
Try and locate the BOM number. Usually found stamped on the axle tube. You can Google the number and generally find out everything about it. Would come in handy for future parts sourcing. Also, if you haven't already checked it out, the 14 bolt bible by Billavista over on Pirate 4x4 is very well put together.
