Help with rubber brake hoses POL lines to 73-87 calipers
Yesterday, I installed 67-72 POL disc brake line conversion kit and matching perportioning valve. Turns out the brake lines are larger than the original drum brake lines. I thought I was going to use 71-2 El Camino brake hoses but they are 3/8. So looks like I am looking for 7/16" female to connect to new hardlines, approx 12-13" long overall length with banjo end that will accept 10mm banjo bolt for later 84 calipers. Any suggestions as to what year make model will work? I don't want to use adapters or expen$ive ECE brake hoses.

Re: Help with rubber brake hoses POL lines to 73-87 calipers
your front brake lines should be 3/16 dia on a disc brake system. I'm running elcamino hoses on my 67 with 76 calipers with 7/16 banjo.
you could run a 3/16"IF to 1/4"IF adapter fitting. it loo it looks like a dorman 072570BP should allow you to hook the el camino lines up

Re: Help with rubber brake hoses POL lines to 73-87 calipers
Jim thanks for the suggestion. I have not run any brake fluid thru the lines yet so I was hoping to return the El Camino hoses for another oe type hose. Found these on Speedways website but since I'm running the hardlines on the backside of the frame, I am concerned they would be too long at 15"?

Re: Help with rubber brake hoses POL lines to 73-87 calipers
are the replacement lines the 71-72 style?
do they come out in front or behind the crossmember and are the fittings on the hard lines where they attach to the brake hoses the same size on both sides? I think 71-72 hoses and hardlines are 3/16 on one side and 1/4 on the other. if that's the case you should be able to run 71-72 hoses
