Dynamat mark up?

Hey whats the deal with the Dynamat extreme, supposed to be the best stuff (or at least very good), in my area at least the 36 sq. ft. pack costs 180 at one place and 200 at another, their sugg. retail is 250, there a lot of dealers on ebay selling for 100 and some less, even with shipping your talking $115 to $125, I like to buy local but man. If a guy can sell it for $89, are my local stereo shops paying lets say $75 or $80 and selling for a $100+ profit? That sounds like the "Bonus Buy" program at one of my local grocery store chains, its a profit deal!

no its not like that, when we sell it we only make like 30 points on it, some stereo shops just like to hose people

The whole automotive industry is a profit deal. I got the 36 sq ft at Best Buy. It was a few months back but I think it was around $175 or something. I bought alot of other car audio that day so I'm not real sure. I have to say, the quality of that stuff is awesome. It cuts real easy and once it's stuck, it's not going anywhere. It's amazing how solid the panels sound after installation. I've heard of other manufactures for a comperable product but I can't remember the name. Anybody remember???

I found alot of places sell cheap replacement and call it dynamat. I bought mine from a stereo shop, then found Summit had it for alot cheaper. I'd buy it from Summit, i coated my whole cab in it and made a world of difference compared to another cab we have without Dynamat. Its expensive as hell, but well worth it in the long run.
