Jimmy rear window.

I'm looking at buying a 70 Jimmy but does not have the rear window, or frame. Are they hard to find ?

Re: Jimmy rear window.

Not a easy find in good cond. The hardware i.e., rods, etc. are like hens teeth but if you keep your eyes out on this board they come up sometimes. Right place....right time. I know Brothers Truck Parts sells most of the parts but have heard mostly negative feed back on it. Do not know first hand. Maybe someone will chime in on it. Good luck

Re: Jimmy rear window.

If by "frame" you mean the rear hatch, they're somewhat hard to come by. If you mean the rubber to install the glass into the hatch, that's not too difficult.

The glass itself is flat, so you could have a glass shop cut it out of flat laminate or have a pattern made and send it out to be tempered.

Re: Jimmy rear window.

I just bought a rear hatch today with the glass..$640..It is in very good condition. The only part that needs to be replaced is the handle and rubber molding. I drove 80 miles one way to purchase. I have seen a lot of hatches around $300- $600 and in bad shape.
