Larger front brake rotors

I am fitting cpp modular spindles, does anyone know of a large brake rotor that will fit the standard hub assembly. I have a set of large 4 pot calipers from a mustang which is was hoping to find a disc /rotor to use.I have 20 inch rims so i should be ok for clearance, i was just looking for an OE disc which would fit the hub, Any one have any ideas?

Re: Larger front brake rotors

CPP sells a big brake kit for your Modular Spindles. That's probably your only option. I see in the UK looks like you were hoping for an auto parts store option, and I don't know of any 13" or larger rotor with 5 on 5 bolt pattern.

You can find something and have the pilot modified as well as the bolt pattern redrilled, but what's it worth to you?

Thumbs up Re: Larger front brake rotors

I have looked and never found anything to use. The stock spindles don't have enough off set to mount anything bigger.

If you are installing the cpp modular spindles you should be good to go with any of these kits.

As stated CCP, McGaughys , Wilwood all have them.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Larger front brake rotors

For a stock style replacement with the added flare of slotted and coated rotors I went with Brakeperformance.com I havent used them yet but they seem to be a nice product if you want to stay within the more stock spectrum. The only grip I have is the coating has some imperfections in spots, Im super picky though.

I should note that these are stock rotor dimensions.

Re: Larger front brake rotors

i was looking at a rear disc on the front from wilwood but unfortunately they are only 12.19 inch diameter. There must be a large rear disc out there ? most of the cpp kits come with the spindles , and i have already bought them . thanks guys i will keep looking.

I'm confused now! What is it you want. These are 13" rotor's.

Re: Larger front brake rotors

Hi Andy
a rear brake rotor would fit onto the front hub, so thats what i was thinking.
i already have the dropped spindles and the brake kits i have seen do not come without the spindles . unless they are the mega expensive wilwood. i have some brand new 4 pot calipers from a mustang which i could make a bracket to fit the spindle, the problem is finding a rotor (brake disc).

Re: Larger front brake rotors

I would think CPP would be happy to put together a kit for you without the spindles. Shoot them an email and tell them you already have them and ask about buying the balance of the kit.

Personally, a whole lot of money and not a whole lot of gain for an inch of rotor. YMMV as usual though.

These are a little high priced but should work. They are out there you may try a Chevy dealer there and see also. You could use the smaller centers and have them bored out to fit also.
