1958 chevy truck build

I guess I will start a thread. This is my 58 short bed stepside that my father bought while he was in high school it is a factory v8 truck. I am in the process of installing a camaro subframe and then a camaro rear end. Instead of doing pictures I am doing a stop motion of the build and hope to update regularly. Thanks for looking.

Re: 1958 chevy truck build

I am trying something a little different with the pictures. I hung a gopro camera in the garage and have it take a picture every 30 seconds so doing a time lapse of the build. The link to youtube on my original post is the start of it.

Hi dragoncrx. I'm interested in the direction this time lapse thing will go. My critique about it is the speed of the play back on youtube. Is there some way for you to slow down the playback so we could see what you are doing. I'd be more inclined to watch it. BTW I like your truck.

I can slow it down and maybe take the pictures from 30 seconds down to every 15. I will try that next time thanks for the input.

Re: 1958 chevy truck build

Just experiment on this some and it will turn out good. I tried using my pause button but it was still too fast. Just keep updating.

Cool, your Dad's truck. I think the video was interesting. Enjoy the build!

Re: 1958 chevy truck build

Ya my dad bought the truck sometime in the 60's it sat around a lot I never remember it actually being driven. I had it running and driving around 96 but just barely then pulled it apart for a rebuild then left for the military now time to finally get it going.

Re: 1958 chevy truck build

Here is my measurements that I took. I am planning on adding 1 1/2 to the 28 1/2 making it 30 inches
