under seat speaksers

any one have these? they have a small woofer and a small tweeter type speaker. not looking for a killer setup, just a set for the rear outlets, as i have the dash twin speakers.

I just installed the undercover II speakers. Im pretty happy with them as stand alone with no other speakers, took some adjusting to get the eq right because of the acoustics of the cab, but with the right amp, they hit pretty hard.

I mounted them to boards covered in truck fabric and slid them under, no holes drilled and they are pretty darn secure. No movement while i drive. I also ran the power through the antenna hole in the firewall so i didn't have to drill any new holes.

for the price and the low profile, they are no brainer in my opinion

In my '67, I had a custom box made and put up into the bottom of the seat for my sub. I had two kickpanel speakers and one in the dash, behind the radio facing up. That setup worked well.

Getting decent bass extension in old trucks is a problem. Unless you want to go with subs behind the seat, under the seats is about your only option.

Your best bet for speakers is going to be either a smaller sub like an 8" subwoofer in a 1/3 cubic foot sealed box under the seat with at least 200 watts rms of power, or a pair of Bazooka Bass Tubes (6 1/2 is the largest that will fit under the stock seat). Check eBay for these...

Aim the bass tubes under the seat towards the back of the cab. Also, resist the urge to put mids and tweeters under the seat as the higher frequency waves don't do well passing through upholstery. Rule of thumb is this: subs you can out just about anywhere. Mids and tweets should be able to be seen and ideally should be aimed at the person sitting on the opposite side of the vehicle.
