brake question?

My 86swb has manual brake with the 1 inch rotors. I want to lower my truck more and 2 inches would be perfect. The only 2 inch spindles i see are for the big brakes, 1.25 inch rotors. To swap brakes do i just need calipers, rotors and bearings? Other than lowering it what benefits do the bigger brakes give?

Re: brake question?

There thicker not bigger around i have the 1 inch rotors they have 2.5 inch spindals that would be cheaper than rotors and calipers and i dought you would notice any braking differance.
