1966 GMC K10 questions
I have recently bought a 65 gmc k10 swb Fleetside . I was wondering if anyone had any idea of production numbers. The vin is K1001PF2098A. I have researched the vin and such, but I'm curious to roughly how many were built..... Previous owner said there were right at 100 built specifically for the colorado forestry service, but I have no idea. It is original frame but the v6 has been replaced with a 454 and automatic. I had also, heard that all the production number information was in a fire,as well......anyway.. Any help would be appreciated.

not as much were made compared to the 2 wheel drives but that doesn't mean the value of yours is high, if that is what you are looking for value?

Gary66, did you contact the GM Heritage Center? They may be able to give you numbers.

Re: 1966 GMC K10 questions
I thought all the 4x4's before '67 were conversions done by outside companies. I doubt anyone has a firm number.

Re: 1966 GMC K10 questions
I remember reading Napco history and GM started producing there own 4x4's in 1960. There was a reason to do with changes made in the frt end, a suspension change maybe.
It was an interesting site, should have looked it up before I posted. You sure have a nice truck. |
