Is there demand for 67-72 stepside LED taillight?

Howdy,
You all know me, and what I do so answer the question.
What is the demand for the 67-72 stepside LED taillight.
I have an original, meaning the big 5 1/2" round one.
If you have that and would be interested please let me know.
If I get enough people who would buy them I will go ahead and
finish the design, and begin production.

I don't have the originals, but if you make them, I may just have to go out and buy the originals to put the LED's in!

I am going to guess at a price, and for Cripe's sake don't
hold me too it!
Ummm... Retail about $100.
The board is smaller, and will have fewer LEDs than the fleetsides,
but the board is going to be cut up, as any of you who have one
know. It will probably end up looking like a star with stubby arms.
PCB Fabricators don't like making numerous cuts. A squared board
is always cheapest.
So,
Let's see you all put your money where you mouth is. When I
finish the design, I will return to this post and ask for some
deposits. A new board development is not cheap, and I need
to know how many are really after what I have to offer.

Does anyone know the size of the round units that are used on trucks and trailers? How hard would it be to modify that to work on our trucks?

I'd still like to find light assemblies that would install in the stake pockets. I don't like those big dorky looking factory tail lights. It looks to me like the tail light assembly design (back in '67) was given to some newbie engineer and that is what he came up with.

Very good question about the big rig taillights. CLASSOF69 would know, but I haven't seen him on here lately.

The round semi ones are too deep. I can try to get measurements, but I know they are too deep to slide into the stock assembly. I looked into it about 6 months ago when i did my my own home-brew fleetside LED conversion.

I got mine here.
NFI, but they have a pretty good selection and detailed measurements. Looks like the round ones are all about 4". I used 4 oval ones and mounted them into the stakes with a bit of sheetmetal work. My stakes are now about 3 1/4" deep compared to the original ~2".
